Leadership Coaching: Evidence-Based Best Practices

four leadership coaches working at a table

As in the business world, districts are increasingly deploying leadership coaches to enhance the performance of principals and the schools they lead. Based on multiple requests by state education agencies in the Northwest, NWCC’s Basha Krasnoff reviewed the literature related to leadership coaching and created this practice brief. It offers a summary of the literature, best practices identified by those working in the field, and essential competencies drawn from practical experience and professional judgement.
