May. 3, 2017 The Oregon Department of Education submitted its final state plan under the Every Student Succeeds Act to the U.S. Department of Education today.

May. 1, 2017 As state education agencies continue to develop and implement their ESSA plans, we have been providing on-the-ground technical assistance to each of the five SEAs we serve. In addition, seven national Content Centers in the CC Network provide resources specific to their areas of expertise.

Dec. 16, 2016 The Every Student Succeeds Act stresses the importance of improving educational outcomes for American Indian and Alaska Native students. ESSA has created opportunities for tribes to work more closely with state and local education agencies in support of Native students.

May 4, 2016 With the passage of the Every Student Succeeds Act, state education agencies (SEAs) nationwide have been developing plans to implement the new education law within each state’s unique context. The Northwest Comprehensive Center is providing assistance in this arena to each of the five SEAs we serve.

Apr. 7, 2016 Since 2014, the Northwest Comprehensive Center (NWCC) has worked with the Montana Office of Public Instruction (OPI) to design, deliver, and model professional development on how to make the MTCCS come alive in the classroom, particularly in implementing the mathematical practice standards at the secondary level.

Dec. 24, 2015 Teachers, principals, and superintendents from some of the Northwest’s most rural and isolated communities gathered in December for the NW RISE Network’s fifth in-person convening.
